Removed Fannish Speculation On Sabe

edit

I removed the fannish speculation on Sabe, as once the article says that her future is purely speculation, there's no need to discuss what certain fanfiction writers think about her character, especially since there's no evidence to support her being anyone's mother or being involved in a relationship with anyone beyond her function as Padme's handmaiden. If we were to detail fannish speculation and popular fanfiction subjects for every character, there'd be no end to it. Best to stick to canon facts and leave fanfiction to the fanfiction websites, not Wikipedia. - Edited 01/27/08, Time 0632 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.161.227.63 (talk) 11:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Corde.jpg

edit

Image:Corde.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Removed Fannish Speculation on Yané

edit

I removed the paragraph about Yané being intellectually gifted, a medic-maiden, and having a photographic memory. Little is known about Yané officially, and much of the information in that paragraph was not canon. MeganM1977 (talk) 23:53, 16 February 2008 (UTC)MeganM1977Reply

Why does this page exist?

edit

I mean, really? --Squirminator2k (talk) 18:55, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why not? C Teng (talk) 02:06, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Since when is "why not" a valid argument? I think this page can best be merged with the article on Padme. - Redmess (talk) 17:12, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

É

edit

Is it a coincidence that all handmaidens' names end with "é," just like Padmé? C Teng (talk) 02:08, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

In fiction, coincidence barely exists. I assume it's a naming convention for Naboo. - Redmess (talk) 17:13, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Has anyone noticed how all the handmaidens look like Padme.I think they all were portrayted by Natalie Portman —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.49.42.137 (talk) 17:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well duh, they were meant to look like her because they are decoys. And of course they weren't portrayed by the same actor, not if there are many henchmaidens in the same shot. - Redmess (talk) 17:15, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
thumbs up for "henchmaidens" but being in the same shot doesn't discount them being the same actress at least not nwoadays. That said, I have no reason to believe they are. 81.97.166.238 (talk) 05:53, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Revamp

edit

I'm working on amalgamating this and all the other god-awful lists at Category:Lists_of_Star_Wars_characters to remove all the ORish and arbitrary topics (i.e. what makes a character a "villain"? what if he/she later is "good"?) and repetition (e.g. Leia shows up on several of them). Once I've squished them together, they can be broken up just alphabetically like the slightly-less-crappy Star Trek character lists. I've copy-and-pasted these lists as of ~11:30EST 3 Oct -- if you make any additions to this list, I'll try to be sure to maintain them in the reworked version, but please be mindful that something might accidentally be overlooked. Thanks! --EEMIV (talk) 15:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redirect

edit

I plan on Monday to replace the current content of List of Star Wars characters with the material at User:EEMIV/StarWarsCharacters, and then to redirect this page to that updated list. Much of the content on this page will go away -- for the better. Wikipedia is an indiscriminate collection of information, even on its list pages, and many of the entries were are truly insignificant characters. If you take exception to this plan, please say so here. --EEMIV (talk) 11:20, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's been nearly two years since this was done, yet the page you've redirected it to lacks most of this information. You may not view these as important characters, but it's not like each girl has her own individual page. I think it's best that this list stay as it is.76.120.168.160 (talk) 20:03, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
