Triumph made a small engine model between 1914 - 1925. The LW (Light Weight) was Triumph's first venture into two stroke engines. 12000 machines were produced, 9000 21/4Hp up to 1923 & 3000 21/2Hp. Manufactured between 1913 and 1926, the Model LW - Light Weight - was a new direction for Triumph and may well have been born of an idea by Seigfried Bettmann’s partner, Mauritz Schulte. Schulte’s three daughters often enjoyed rides seated behind Works Testers, and the story is that Schulte took the first Model LW home for his daughters. 146.200.47.92 (talk) 18:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
