Hour Long Live Episode
editThere has been a back and forth on the edit history over if this season has 9 or 10 episodes due to the hour long live episode. The common thread with every user other than User:AlexTheWhovian is that the live episode would fall under the category of two episodes due to the precedent set by the likes of two hour premieres/finales and doubled up episodes being separate episodes. This is further backed by IMDB and the fact that NBC ordered ten season two episodes and there hasn't been any source stating otherwise. However we need to come to a consensus on this issue as it has and can once again turn into edit warring. Encmetalhead (talk) 23:40, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Encmetalhead: I would say to wait until it airs and see if it has a single or double WB prodcode on the copyright slate. I'm predicting there will be an episode on May 19 to bring the eps up to ten, so the remaining prodcodes will be in descending order from 4X5010 to 4X5007. PS, have fun with User:AlexTheWhovian. helmboy 23:56, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Encmetalhead: Here's my view on the issue at hand. Different television series are different, and just because some shows do the numbering one way with (apparent) double-episodes, doesn't mean that other shows (i.e. Undateable) will do the same. Your claims that the episode is numbered separately (even though it's a single one-hour continuous episode) are unsourced; sourcing is something that every editor needs to know about. I would have also thought that an experienced editor like you would have known that IMDb is not a reliable source with Wikipedia. The source for the ten-episode second season is now months old, before the announcement of the live episode, so it is highly doubtful whether that source is still reliable. (@Helmboy: Our previous confrontations need not come to the talk page of other articles. However, I wasn't aware that I was the one who was reported by multiple editors without any support. Have fun!) Alex|The|Whovian 03:19, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Where do you see where I have edited in or even discussed prod codes? You could argue you were addressing the other editor but being you jumped back to me after that that would be a weak arguement. Not to mention that TVBTN is a realiabe source and would've reported if the episode was trimmed down. Also the live episode might've already been confirmed just not announced when the series was picked up. Untill there is a source stating otherwise this article should reflect what the sourced material states. This will all be over tomorrow night anyway Encmetalhead (talk) 19:13, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- "Where do you see where I have edited in or even discussed prod codes?" - Again that is not talk of prod codes, but I'll end the discussion here until the episode airs. Encmetalhead (talk) 14:27, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
- Production codes at the end of the episode confirm this was two episodes. Aired episodes serve as primary sources and this puts at end to this discussion. Encmetalhead (talk) 02:12, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
Season 2 Episodes 3 and 6 has the same prod code listed.
editOne of them is incorrect if anyone wants to investigate. Encmetalhead (talk) 02:10, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Done. My prediction for the final two eps are 4X5008 and 4X5007 respectively. helmboy 22:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Helmboy: Predictions are not noted as reliable on Wikipedia; they are original research. Alex|The|Whovian 01:04, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- Get over yourself. It's just a side comment on a talk page. helmboy 02:04, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
