1953 Champion - spelling of name
editSomeone posted a query to the Help Desk indicating the 1953 champion should be Bob Tenequer. We have Bo Tenequer. The source given for this page lists him as Bo, and the PDF that will download if you click this link lists him as Bo. A google search has turned up other results for a boxer in that same time period (1940s and 1950s), from the same town, named Bob Tenequer, and I think it's reasonable to assume it's the same person, and that he sometimes went by Bo as a nickname. However, I have not (in my brief searches) found anything that specifically calls him Bob related to the 1953 championship. That said, it's old enough that not many articles are online and I don't currently have an active newspapers.com subscription for archival searching. I asked the person who posted on the help desk if they could provide sources with the correct spelling, but they are posting from an IP so I can't ping them and it's pretty common for people who post on the help desk to not come back to check for responses. At any rate, I wanted to make sure there was a record of this discussion here on the article talk page. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:08, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Featherweight or bantamweight?
editThe list referenced here says JaRico O'Quinn won at 56 kg, but his article says he fought at bantamweight. Clarityfiend (talk) 07:52, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
