Quotes on the page out of place

edit

The quotes on the page seem out of place. --Tyw7  (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 14:20, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure I see the issue. What exactly was plagiarized, and why do you think it was? There aren't many quotes; while the episode summaries seem less than encyclopedic in tone, I couldn't find an off-Wikipedia source. Huon (talk) 16:54, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Could you please give a specific example? Huon (talk) 07:10, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
The quotes are coming from somewhere. I think the clue to the contents of the Season 1 summaries might be found in the Space channel citations that were attached to them and which some have been deleted. Pyxis Solitary talk 13:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I checked several of those Space channel citations and did not find any similarity to the content here (check the page history yourself if you like). I also ran Google searches for characteristic phrases and came up empty except for this article and a Wikipedia mirror. To me it seems Stoker315 wrote the content on their own. It looks like it. Maybe revert it and warn Huon? --Tyw7  (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 20:32, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Huh? Warn whom, of what? Warn Stoker315 because they didn't plagiarize something? That probably isn't what you mean, but I can't tell what the supposed problem is. Huon (talk) 23:47, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
He seem to be making up quotes. I meant vandalism not plagarism. Mixing up the two "isms". --Tyw7  (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 20:06, 11 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Episode short summary content

edit

Per Wikipedia's policy for Television articles: MOS:TV > § 2.4 Plot section:

  • "Avoid minutiae like dialogue, scene-by-scene breakdowns, individual jokes, technical detail, as well as any information that belongs in other sections, such as actors' names.... plot summaries of no more than 200 words per episode."

Additionally, the guideline in Template:Episode list > Parameters > ShortSummary states:

  • A short 100–200 word plot summary of the episode. Make summaries specific to that episode (as in, a description that would normally not be confused with another episode). Episode summaries must not be copied from other sources, as this violates WP:COPYRIGHT.

At this time, the Season 1 summaries are ranging anywhere from 169 words – 322 words. Those exceeding 200 words need to be edited down. Run time

edit

The mention of episode run time has been deleted from the article three times, so far. The run time is a basic fact about the episodes. However, there is no specific guideline in the Manual of Style/Television (MOS:TV) that provides guidance about the inclusion of run time in the "List of episodes" page. At this time it is subjective editing (some list-of articles have it, most do not). I created a discussion in MOS:TV Talk: Mention of episode run time in "List of episodes" page. Consequently, I suggested that an RfC be opened to reach consensus about whether run time can be included in the list-of article, and for a guideline about it to be added in MOS:TV. The Season 2 summaries violated Wikipedia's copyright policy because they were copied from GoodGuyMovies.com. As such, they were deleted on 08:00, January 8, 2018. Pyxis Solitary talk 23:50, 8 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Colors used for table headers

edit

The colors selected for Seasons 1 through 3 are colors that represent the colors used in the opening credits. The #6aff32 hex neon-lime background color that was chosen for Season 4 was a strain on the eyes. It's not only harsh, it has no association with the colors used in the series, and no relation to the wheel of colors that existed in the tables. Therefore, I changed the hex color to #42aca6 -- which is closest to the color of the car in the "Welcome to Purgatory" sign seen in the opening credits. All tables now use colors associated with the series. Per WP:ACCESSIBILITY, the #42aca6 background color is WCAG AAA compatible. (P.S. You can see Welcome to Purgatory sign here.)
