I removed this, it's not announced for any platform according to IGN (IGN). Of course it's most likely coming to Xbox One/PS4 but neither are confirmed. This (Gamespot) was the most recent news I could find on it referencing "next-gen." WhereAmI (talk) 22:04, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

360 Column

I made a revision of the page [1] that included a column that lists if the game is also available on the Xbox 360. This column would be helpful to those of us that have Xbox 360 and are waiting to see if they are any games of interest coming up that warrant buying the new system. I found sorting by '360' and then 'North America' to be especially helpful to see if there are any killer eighth-generation exclusive games coming out soon. Apparently since this information might become irrelevant in a few years, it was undone now. Please show your support below. Chiok (talk) 19:23, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

"Xbox Arena" from "Log Creations?"

There is a game listed as coming out October 30, 2014 - 'Xbox Arena' from 'Log Creations,' a supposed division of Microsoft Studios. I can't find any mention of either Xbox Arena or Log Creations anywhere online save for this article and the article for Microsoft Studios, which lists Log Creations.

Date Sorting

Would it be worth standardizing the release date format so that the column would be sortable in a meaningful way? Obviously the TBDs would have to sort to the top or bottom. The troublesome ones would be releases with a quarter or year, but not a date. It would be preferable for a "Q1" to sort to March 31, although it probably isn't a dealbreaker. Well I Just discovered Template:dts. Will look into maybe fixing this up. It looks like most dates are correctly done, but "Q1", "Spring", etc are broken in sorting. OK I have a solution for this that seems to work but will just require manually setting the sort string. If Q1 2014 should sort at the end of March (it should, basically being pessimistic about release dates), then we manually set the date sort order, as in {{Sort|02014-03-31|Q1 2014}}. There isn't an existing built in date sort that has this logic, but this works with the existing dts or date template sorts. If nobody objects, I'm going to do this across all of the non dts-able dates so that things sort correctly. dtype (talk) 17:21, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Use of season names in dates

Season names could be confusing for people who don't live on the same hemisphere. I suggest a more uniform approach of using quarter numbers (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) to denote approximation of release date. This also avoids the use of the word 'fall', which is not understood readily in some parts of the English-speaking world. Jamesjiao (talk) 02:21, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Excuse me? Who's great idea was it to decide to remove the Demo section? Just because you don't find it "necessary" doesn't mean other people don't.

Are PC games "Microsoft exclusive" by definition?

There appears to be a discrepancy in how List of Xbox 360 games and List of Xbox One games designate Microsoft exclusives. For the most part, on 360, a title is conferred Microsoft exclusivity when released on wholly-owned Microsoft platforms (e.g. Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One). Thus Alan Wake, Fable III and Left 4 Dead are considered to be console exclusives, because these same titles (and others) are available on PC. However, here on this page, several games that are playable on Personal Computer are also considered to be Microsoft exclusives. See Fable Legends and Titanfall for example. Is there any logic behind this? Though Microsoft produce Windows OS, they do not design and manufacture graphics cards, CPUs, system memory, or any of the other components a PC (or Steam machine) requires to make a game operate. — TPX 20:27, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

That's off course a matter of perspective. Most of these games that are "Microsoft exclusives" are thus or for Xbox One or for Windows 10. A Xbox One is still also just a computer and being a Microsoft platform doesn't mean that all hardware in the Xbox computers are all made by Microsoft, just like with PC's. As Xbox One uses a dubbed down version of Windows 8, I think we may consider games on this list being released on the Xbox One, Windows 8 and Windows 10 as Microsoft exclusives. Yes, but Microsoft sign a contract and license the hardware for Xbox. They own the system altogether (minus royalties) whereas they do not own any part of a personal computer or steam machine. For this reason, I'm leaning toward the exclusivity format adopted on the 360 article. — TPX 20:45, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

Well yes, they do own parts of a PC using Windows, the OS and the license. But yeah, if you feel more strongly about that, go ahead, I actually couldn't care less, I'm not a regular user on the English Wikipedia and I keep this list myself on the Dutch Wikipedia, which is mostly more up to date (especially before Mordecule's updates). I try my best to update it as I have time, but I've noticed that this list doesn't get the same love as the PS4 list. It's a large task for me to take on almost solo, so any help in the future is greatly appreciated. I was the one who added Fable Legends, so here was my reasoning for that, and Gigantic. My thought was that while Fable Legends is coming to PC, it is coming to "Windows 10", which is Microsoft speak that really means "coming to the Windows Store front". I felt that since the Windows Store is the only place the game will show up (IE, not as a separate program downloadable outside of through the Windows Store such as STEAM, GOG, ect), and since Microsoft has sole ownership over their own store, then it is a Microsoft exclusive. Obviously this can be up for debate, but that was my reasoning. In short, any title like Ori & the Blind Forest which is on the PC(STEAM) should be consolve exclusive(yes, it currently says Microsoft for this one but I believe that is because a while back they announced a 360 version which may or may not be happening), while a game like Fable Legends which is on Xbox One and Windows 10 store (only Microsoft platforms of sale), is Microsoft exclusive. If we also follow my definition laid above, I agree that Titanfall should really be console exclusive since it can be downloaded on the PC without going through Microsoft storefronts. My $.02. I understand your reasoning but, the fact is, Windows Store is not a hardware platform. Xbox One titles that are made available on PC should be defined as console exclusive, in line with our other tables. The same would be true if Nintendo or Sony began publishing their games jointly on PC, but not on competing consoles. To underscore this point, DC Universe Online and PlanetSide 2 were marked as console exclusive (not Sony exclusive) before they sold Sony Online Entertainment. — TPX 13:44, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

That makes perfect sense actually. If everyone is in agreement then the platform is the platform, and storefronts do not matter. So, in the case of Fable egends, and games like it, it would be console exclusive, not Microsoft exclusive. Sound fair? Mordecairule 16:42, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
