Red links
Do we really have to have all of those red links/redirects back here? Sonic Mew | talk to me 21:09, August 5, 2005 (UTC)
- I'm working on individual pages for each episode, as has been done for other TV shows. I'm working at the moment on a template for the episodes, which I wouldn't mind feedback on. The reason for the ones that currently act only as redirects back to here is that they also serve as redirects from disambiguation pages. Caerwine 14:03, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
- That would definitely be good. It also works with my plans to keep a track of who has what Shan Gong Wu at paticular points. Sonic Mew | talk to me 15:57, August 6, 2005 (UTC)
- Liked the category you added to the template, hated the detailed Shen Gong Wu inventory. There already is a section for the Wu that actually appeared in the episode. Unmentioned Wu should be left for the Shen Gong Wu page to detail where they are. Caerwine 18:05, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
ZITA'S COMMENT: I like the list of Wu. Anyhow, I think it is a good idea to have a detailed page for each episode.
^^^ Yeah, I agree with that. It would allow for individual episode trivia as well. --Rai 19:39, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Links Removed
Almost all links lead to redirect pages back to the page... so can i have the all-clear to remove most links? J.J.Sagnella 17:25, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
It would be better if at least the links that redirect to the same page where removed. And the U-bots don't have where to redirect. --201.9.40.142 09:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
Okay. J.J.Sagnella
Quotes
The notes section is getting a wee bit bloated with information. I personally think the quotes should be moved to a diffrent page, and perhaps remove the parts about Shen-Gong-Wu wagered
I think that the quotes from the shows should be easier to see. Maybe a separate article?
What about Wikiquote?
- If you tell me where to enter them, I will. However, I don't have any backup copies of the quote information that I had entered before, so it may have to wait until they re-air daily again.--Keybounce 20:11, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind, found them -- http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Xiaolin_Showdown
Redirects
Episode 208 - Mrs. Cornhagen, Episode 215 - Jessie Bailey and Episode 210 - the monk's fears don't have where to redirect. Where place them?
The Ying-Ying Bird also don't have a especific place to go. I thing he should redirect to Hannibal Roy Bean.
Training excersizes
Should we record the training excersizes? For example, today "Black Vipers" was repeated, and the training excersize was "Blindfolded torch relay". Earlier today there was "Team rock lift". --Keybounce 17:14, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Not really. It seems like such a minor detail. Even the obsessive fanboys (if they exist) might think that that's too much. Then again, what do I know? Eyeball kid 02:25, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Appearence Counter
Is it really necessary to count every single time Chase Young or another villain appears? Considering that he appears in nearly all the episodes of the later seasons, this seems pointless. For lesser villains this is fine, but for Chase Young and Hannibal Roy Bean, it seems unnecessary. --Rai 18:44, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Episode Guide Links
Something has to be done about the guides to each episode that Suthee4321 (talk · contribs) made. I saw that one of them used to have a copyright violation tag that he removed twice. I don't know if any others were the same situation, but if they are, we should more than likely delete them. Ryulong 03:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
I found that these two episodes were made into redirects. To avoid future requirements for history mergers for the editors creating articles for individual episodes, I have restored the content so the editors can fix them and not need to create unnecessary redirects/page names. As such, these two pages need to be fixed up to match with the others. Ryulong 08:36, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Suggested Reformatting
I think that this page should probably be reformatted to work as an episode guide instead of a Shen Gong Wu tracker. If we put in tv guide style episode summaries instead of the showdowns, the list could appeal to a wider audience instead of just hardcore fans. All of the expert-level detail (eg Showdowns, activated Shen Gong Wu) would be maintained on the individual episode pages that are currently being expanded and reformatted into proper articles. There is the chance that doing this could earn the page feature list status, which six episode guides have already earned (Fullmetal Alchemist, Oh My Godess, Planetes, The Simpsons, Star Gate: SG-1, and South Park). I'd like to know what everybody thinks about this. Jay32183 14:50, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- I think that I suggested such in one of the discussion pages for a requested move. I'd be willing to assist with such an endeavour. Ryulong 16:06, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- I tried out the new format for season 1. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. Jay32183 02:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Wow... Season 2 is long. I don't know if my summaries need revising, so you can look them over, after I did the hard part of reformatting the table. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryulong (talk • contribs)
- I removed the rhetorical questions for imperatives so it maintains the sense of urgency but seems more encyclopedic. I haven't seen every episode so I can't be sure of their accuracy. Jay32183 19:14, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. The best I know about any episodes through the second season is what they air as reruns on Cartoon Network. Ryulong 19:31, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Help with the Episodes
I'll accept any help in listing the Shen Gong Wu each side has for each episode Herb-Sewell 16:03, June 30 2006
- In the list, that is not necessary. In the articles for the individual episodes, that may also not be necessary. The information is listed in Known Shen Gong Wu already. Ryulong 20:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Not in the list of episodes but in the articles of the episodes. With the article of Known Shen Gong Wu people would not know the wu each side has in each point of time of the series without doing the grunt work themselves. Herb-Sewell 23:07, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Then I guess that is okay. Ryulong 23:13, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Well I'm off to work on those episodesHerb-Sewell 23:08, 1 July 2006 (UTC) Comon, seriously, can somone please help me with this also in re-checkingHerb-Sewell 04:47, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Comon, seriously, can somone please help me with this also in re-checkingHerb-Sewell 04:47, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
When I get the chance I will try to redo all the episodes so I know how to correct all the inaccurate listings of total Shen Gong Wu. Herb-Sewell 01:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Color Scheme?
Does anyone else beside me find the color scheme distracting?Herb-Sewell 23:57, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- I personally do not see any difference between the revisions before and after the "color scheme" thing. What is this difference? Ryulong 00:19, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- I can see that the colors should be red and green, but I cannot see them on my computer. Ryulong 00:23, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- Are you able to see any line at all? -- Ned Scott 01:20, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- The only lines I see are the grey ones that separate the different cells on the tables. Ryulong 01:34, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

- Sorry if the colors I chose were too much, anyone who understands how they work can tone them down. I thought the black was boring though. Jay32183 01:44, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

I hope the color change solves Herb-Sewell's problem. Still clueless making it visible to everyone.Jay32183 02:22, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, thought that was it, it's a known problem with how IE renders HTML tables. I have some ideas of how to make it show up on IE, just want to make sure it still renders ok on other browsers too before I do anything. -- Ned Scott 04:51, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, when I saw an edit that divided up Season 2 into two separate seasons, I saw the color. It appears that if there is a paragraph/line break between two {{Episode list}}s, the line shows up in IE, but in the line break. Ryulong 04:55, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Progress report
I don't know where else to put this, but I think people will read and respond here. The articles about Xiaolin Showdown episodes have improved a lot. Here's what we've accomplished so far:
- Seasons 1 and 2 reformatted on this page
- All episodes until Oil in the Family have pages, The Dream Stalker and Hannibal's Revenge also have pages.
- The episodes through Finding Omi have been reformatted to the general layout for a tv episode (TV infobox, synopsis on top)
- The episodes through Shard of Lightning have Shen Gong Wu lists
- The episodes through Shen Yi Bu have had their synopses expanded and copyeditted
What we need to do:
- Write leads for the individual episode pages, Journey of a Thousand Miles is the only one with more than a sentence, some having no lead at all.
- Remove non-notable trivia and goofs from episode pages. If that's what some one is looking for moviemistakes.com is a better site. Also any trivia or goofs listed in the main body do not need to be restated in lists.
- Complete, verify, and improve the Shen Gong Wu lists. This will be time consuming. These lists are not trivial and will not flow in the prose of an episode synopsis. Herb-Sewell has been doing this pretty much on his/her own so far.
- Expand and copyedit the prose in the episode pages, including spoiler warnings.
- Reformat the season 3 episode guide, summaries needed.
- Reformat episodes after Finding Omi. The infobox and the rearranging of sections improves the readability.
I will be unavailable to do any of this from July 9 to July 16, but will contributing when I return. If anyone objects to any of this please speak up. Also don't feel obligated to do this just because I asked, I'll eventually get around to it if no one objects. Jay32183 19:30, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Time After Time
I haven't seen Time After Time so I need to ask; Is it a single hour long episode or two separate plots connected by a cliffhanger? This is important because there is a precedent with making pages for episodes that an episode not be given two pages just for being twice as long as the other episodes. I thought we should find out before a page or pages are made so we don't have to deal with a split or merge later. Jay32183 18:05, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- I known such a Cliffhanger, but, in my country, the episodes are showed one after other, in the same day.--Forum User 15:38, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well as long as the plots are distinct we can build two pages for them. Two distinct plots in a hour one day requires two pages, while one plot split into half hour segments over two days is one article. Jay32183 15:16, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's an cliffhanger, the pt.2 have "In the previous episodes of Xiaolin Showdown…"--Forum User 15:44, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Warning Reason
I have putted the warning on Finding Omi episode, yes.But the Chi Creature is really a horrible monster, so, little kids that goes see this episode and goes frequently to Wikipedia, can see the Warning, and, ignore the episode.I suggest 10+ Years. --Forum User 13:23, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- That type of warning is POV and innapproriate. It would not be innapropriate to add the official ratings, such as TVPG, to the episode pages. Jay32183 13:26, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- Who cares that the Chi Creature could scare small children? That information should never be in a serious encyclopedia, or even on a fan's episode guide on his/her personal website. I have given you the generic second-level warning for vandalism, "Forum User", as such edits can be construed as vandalism, especially if it complete nonsense. Ryūlóng 22:31, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- How can a brain-sucking monster that turns people into brainless zombies possibly be scary to anyone? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.225.151.104 (talk) 13:41, 26 February 2007 (UTC).
New Episode
I have seen an espisode where Raimundo is the Chosen one. I think this list needs to but updated. I can't remember the name of the episode. AtmanDave 00:32, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Doesn't really help then, but the series is cancelled from all known information. Ryūlóng 00:31, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- "He is also, according to Master Monk Guan, going to become the leader of the Xiaolin Dragons, which is proven correct in the final episode of season three." Directly off of Rai's page on Wikipedia. I don't think this helps, though. Sorry. AtmanDave 00:35, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Rayeli 18:37, 7 October 2006 (UTC)rayeli
Kimiko's Pics
I don't know if you know this but today I saw none of Kim's pictures. What's up with that?68.64.162.12 23:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Dee
- They've been removed for being overly fancrufty, and therefore the images fail FUC#6(used for critical commentary) and FUC#8(illustrate a significant section of text). Jay32183 04:13, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah me either.
Ok. I THINK I understand.
Lightness Star:Wheres kimiko's appearance?
- That section has been deleted for being to fancrufty. It was trivia that only the fans cared about and wasn't encyclopedic content. Please remember to sign your posts with ~~~~ Jay32183 17:57, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Images in the list
Since we don't have images for all the episodes and the debate about whether these images meet the fair use criteria is unresolved, would anyone object to removing the images with a reason other than the page looks better with them? Jay32183 18:04, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
:There's now been a suggestion not to use images when dedicated pages exist, and I agree. Jay32183 02:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC) I had no clue what I was talking about there. Jay32183 04:02, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I've removed the images, and the page doesn't seem worse off to me. It now looks like there should be enough room to add writers and directors. Jay32183 04:10, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Do the single episodes need articles?
Many episodes of certain programs are notable enough to have episodes, but does this one really need them? The only possible information is a plot summary, which really isn't encyclopedic. Nemu 21:15, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well there was an AFD which resulted in no consensus. I share your feeling that we don't have enough nontrivial information on individual episode to keep stand-alone articles. With the episode list already so detailed, I don't see how merging would help. I suppose we could turn them into redirects and delete them later should they become problematic, such as people reverting to the article state without doing any of the necessary expansion repeatedly. Jay32183 21:50, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Seeing as your likely the only person that will comment before any redirects actually happen, I'll get started. Nemu 21:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I've redirected a few. I'll wait a bit to see if anyone bothers with them before doing more. Nemu 22:07, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good call. I'll also be keeping an eye on them. Jay32183 23:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- That seems like enough time for anyone who'll blindly revert them, so I guess I'll just continue. Hopefully they'll just follow the link anyways. Nemu 00:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good call. I'll also be keeping an eye on them. Jay32183 23:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Errors and goofs?
Where do things like errors and goofs go? Do we want to record them?
The current episode (311) had this error, for example:
- Error in closed captioning: Showdown trio wager called by Bean. Verbal call: "My Moby morpher against your conch and Chase's serpent tail." Captioning call: My mind reader conch against your moby morpher and Chase's serpent tail". This implies a change in speaker from Jack(Kimiko) to Bean.
- We should not include errors and goofs on the episode list. Jay32183 (talk) 05:26, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Confusion
On the official site (xiaolinshowdown.com) on the KidsWB site (they supposedly have the contract), it says this saturday will have an episode called 'Fleurs Du Mal'. There are three possibilities: 1- New episode in continuity sometime between 'Hannibal's Revenge' and 'Time After Time'. 2- A mistake, noting an episode that does not exist. 3- A mistake, noting another episode (The title is french for 'Flowers of Evil') Also, no mention of 'Time After Time' was ever made on the KidsWB website (note again that they have the rights to Xiaolin Showdown, at least for broadcasting, to my knowledge)
Quote from actual page: This is a list of Xiaolin Showdown episodes, in the order of their production number with the date that they originally aired on Kids WB.
- It gets better! During the week of Saturday March 25, it says the episode will be something called "RPM"! This does not stand for any previous episode! But still no mention of "Time After Time" on the 'official' site! Can anyone tell me what's going on here?
- Both "Fleurs Du Mal" and "RPM" are, I believe, batman episodes. It seems that someone got series mixup.
- For certain, neither are Xiaolin SHowdown episodes. Jay32183 (talk) 05:29, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
