IATA vs FAA LID
editSome of the airports seem to have the FAA LID behind the ICAO code in this list instead of the IATA code, even if the format is clearly defined on the main page as:
Format of entries is:
- ICAO (IATA) – Airport Name – Airport Location (U.S. city and state)
I just corrected a few. Please pay attention to this when editing: Both the IATA code as well as the FAA LID are three-letter codes, but they do have a lot of conflicting assignments. The FAA LID is obviously a US-only thing (and it's usually the ICAO code without the leading "K"). --Bvontob (talk) 13:39, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- I should point out this for just in case: `US-only` is actually not accurate. Please see Obstacle Data - Regional Areas of Responsibility. - Hhswp (talk) 22:48, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Alphanumeric US codes
editAllegedly the US assigns some unofficial non-standard alphanumeric codes to smaller airfields. Does anyone have any examples? cagliost (talk) 12:21, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
