Filmbio work group
editWP:ACTOR most certainly does have a list category in its scope and a list of awards would qualify, as would a page for filmographies. There is nothing in WP:ACTOR that requires the page be a strict biography. Wildhartlivie (talk) 11:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Proposed move
editI think this list needs to be moved to something like "List of David Bowie awards". Current name is too long and complex. Daniil Maslyuk (talk) 14:23, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- The name is fine and it is in fact a standard name used for this kind of article. --JD554 (talk) 14:50, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
GQ Man Of The Year Awards 1997 & 2000
editI know Bowie performed a concert to close out the 1997 GQ MOTY awards, but didn't he receive an award there too? I can't recall clearly whether he just participated or not, anyone remember?
In 2000 he received the "most stylish man" award from them: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/911945.stm. Worth noting? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87Fan (talk • contribs) 21:35, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Malta International Song Festival 1969
editAccording to this Times of Malta article: "It was in Malta, at the Hilton, in 1969, that Bowie was singled out for best-produced record for the Malta International Song Festival. It was also the first accolade he received in a lifetime of awards." Surely this is worth mentioning here (and perhaps the David Bowie article too)? Xwejnusgozo (talk) 21:12, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
