Talk:List of awards and nominations received by Girls Aloud

Should awards/nominations received by individual members/their songwriters be included?

edit

I removed the awards/nominations that were awarded to individual members, and the Ivor Novello nomination that was awarded to the songwriters who wrote The Promise.

The awards pages of other similar groups don't list individual members' awards. It seems to make sense to me that this page should be for awards/nominations received by "Girls Aloud" and not by "any Girls Aloud member". If any particular member wins an individual award, it should be mentioned in their individual wiki articles and not the group's, as is done with other groups.

Also, regarding The Promise's Ivor nomination..should awards/nominations for songs that were sung by the group but that are awarded to the songwriters (and not credited at all to any of the group members) really be included as well? In the official Ivor Novello's site, the nomination is awarded to:" The Promise: Written by Nick Coler, Miranda Cooper, Brian Higgins, Kieran Jones, Tim Powell, Jason Resch and Carla Marie Williams .Published by Warner/Chappell Music" Not awarded to the group or even any of its members at all.

See the awards pages for other boy/girl groups (e.g. BSB, N sync, Spice Girls, Westlife, Boyzone, 1D, LM, 5H) for comparison. Bennv3771 (talk) 02:49, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
