Structure
editI have subdivided the list to make it a bit easier to read and edit. I think that this page would work well as a table, with columns for the date, location, and the victorious party. Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 15:57, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Battles
editIncluding battles that involved Dál Riata, the southern Britons, and Pictish kingdoms not clearly ancestral to the kingdom of Scotland, is pure anachronism. I have removed these. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 18:16, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
The so-called "Battle of Raith" is a ludicrous fiction which brings Wikipedia into disrepute. It was the invention of a local newspaper editor who misunderstood the Battle of Catterick. This needs to be excised from the list or at the very least marked as a fabricationFreuchie (talk) 13:09, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
In the First War of Scottish Independence section why are some knights given their honorific of 'Sir' while for others it is omitted? e.g. Sir William Wallace and Sir William Douglas have their titles ignored, while Sir Simon Fraser and Sir John Segrave have theirs included. Shouldn't this be consistent? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.195.46 (talk) 08:52, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
