Other question...

The armoureds frigates Numancia (first ironclad in circumnavigate the world) and Vitoria (7,500 t and 7,250 t Displacement; the two ships, was in portmán battle), was modified in 1896-1898, and converted in "battleships".

Numancia ground and sank in Sesimbra (Portugal) 17 december 1916 when was being traslate from Cádiz to Bilbao for scrap

Pelayo

Wondering why Pelayo was removed? Most sources I've seen (including Jane's) list her as a battleship. - The Bushranger _{One ping only} 22:52, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Pelayo is an ironclad battleship, not a pre-dreadnought, and so doesn't really belong on this list. She belongs in the period of experimentation that characterized the period between the launching of Gloire and, depending on who you ask, the Royal Sovereigns or the Majestics of the 1890s. It would be more appropriate to include her on a List of ironclads of Spain. Parsecboy (talk) 10:05, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

• Disambiguate SECN; you might need to spell it out.
• The gun sizes of the Reina Victoria Eugenia class don't match between the text and the table. And watch for rounding errors.
  • Did they get 13.5 or 13-inch guns? You give both English and metric measurements first which is confusing, although I know why you did it.
    • I "fixed" the wrong template the first time around. Should be correct now.
• Pics appropriately licensed; no external links.
• Overlinking on Spanish Navy

Concur on that - this is part of a "List of Battleships/Battlecruisers of Foo" series; due to the shortness of this one it looks slightly less "list-y" than the others but it is still part of the group and the title needs to remain consistent. - The Bushranger _{One ping only} 00:44, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Suggested move to "Battleships of Spain"

I suggest this article (having been identified as not really being a list), be moved to the subject title. As present it is coming up in Category:Military history lists incorrectly assessed as articles. Kirill has suggested move it to avoid confusion. Thoughts? Main Armament Reina Victoria Eugenia

Spanish navy was actually interested in 15in guns as Queen Elizabeth class battleships were made public: Before that Reina Victoria Eugenias were probably conceived as scaled-down versions of british Orion and Iron Duke battleships.
