editAre the Shing Mun Tunnels a bridge-tunnel system too? It got two double-tube tunnels and a pair of viaducts across a valley between the two tunnels. Umofomo (talk) 23:15, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- And what about the Cheung Ching Tunnel and the Rambler Channel Bridge? The bridge crosses a sea channel, and leads directly into the tunnel on an island at an altitude of around 25 metres from the sea level. [2] Umofomo (talk) 23:31, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- What about Rennfast, the Eiksund Tunnel/Eiksund Bridge and the Triangle Link in Norway? On the other hand, the Hardanger Bridge is one bridge with no subsea tunnel, so I can't see why it should be included.

- Aberdeen Channel Bridge-Ap Lei Chau Tunnel, Stonecutters Bridge-Nam Wan Tunnel. 1.64.48.46 (talk) 23:24, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
It is incomplete. In will be sure to add more such as the Busan-Geoje Fixed Link but also combine them all as a single table which includes many columns such as total length. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.254.33.22 (talk) 23:26, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Bridge-tunnels are strictly a combination of bridges and/or causeways coupled with underwater tunnels. A bridge-tunnel is an alternative to a bridge or an underwater tunnel. It is not a combination of bridge and land tunnel.PghPhxNfk (talk) 13:40, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
I'd not include the Dartford Crossing in this list - it's got a tunnel for northbound traffic and a bridge for southbound. Mr Larrington (talk) 22:56, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
I question whether the Montreal, Busan, and Shanghai examples belong on this list, since in each case the bridge section terminates at a natural island and the tunnel begins on the other side. These could be considered simply a bridge and a tunnel rather than a true-bridge tunnel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.237.173.166 (talk) 01:36, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Since San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge is included (Yerba Buena Tunnel isn't an undersea tunnel), should other similar Bridge-tunnels be added to the list too? 1.64.48.46 (talk) 23:24, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- I've removed the Bay Bridge as it's not a true bridge tunnel. As others have mentioned, it's not a combination of bridge and land tunnel. Smartyllama (talk) 20:44, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
Is City Square Tunnel in Boston an underwater tunnel? 1.64.47.128 (talk) 19:23, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
The exclusion of land tunnel-bridges is meritless, for one, because the article is titled "bridge-tunnels", which does not indicate any distinction between land or underwater tunnels/tubes. If the distinction is to hold, then the title of the article should be changed accordingly, e.g. "List of bridge-underwater tunnels". Otherwise, the article should include the bridge-land tunnels, perhaps dividing the list into two categories, one for each type of bridge-tunnel. Or there should be another article with the list of bridge-land tunnels.Tmangray (talk) 16:47, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
