Missing taxon

It has come to my attention that Dusicyon avus is missing from the list, Dusicyon avus is the species from which the Falkland islands wolf is derived, and went extinct only 400 years ago according to recent carbon isotope records. It has an official IUCN status, so It should definitely be on the list proper, and not be relegated with the fossil taxa.[1]. It also has an offical IUCN status. [2], so it should definitely be included.

Thank you very much for this; I've now added it! I used the common name "South American fox", as a few sources called it that (after Darwin's description, I think), but it's not 100%, especially since there's a genus (Lycalopex) that has the name/article South American fox already. --PresN 05:20, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

missing the dire wolf
