Racinos in another list, or not at all?
editI move that Racinos be removed from this list, and perhaps a link to a list of racinos? -Andrew 18:45, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- Well, they are casinos at a racetrack which would say they should be included in the list. Having said that, I would not object at this point to giving them their own list. But it does raise the question of what is included in this list. Should Birmingham Race Course be listed? Casinos with bingo machines? Card rooms? Cruise ships? Temporary casinos like Klondike Days Casino? Vegaswikian 06:23, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Lousy Links
editBoy, I don't know which is worse: the never ending list of links that go nowhere, or the Bally's in Estonia linking to the Bally's Atlantic City.
Anyone mind if I take the brackets off the casinos without their own articles?RevelationDirect (talk) 03:08, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- This is a nightmarish list. I'd like to delete most everything and instead link wherever possible to the appropriateCategory:Casinos page. 2005 (talk) 03:32, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
UK casinos
editThere is listed one "private gambling club" being in London. And four elsewhere (?) in UK, of which only one is an actual casino. The other three are companies, which have multiple casinos (some outside UK), at least according to their wiki articles. Interestingly enough, I started googling ("casino london"), and first site has six casinos presented, second (www.viewlondon.co.uk) has eight. So I think quite many are missing. 85.217.43.189 (talk) 22:37, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I've just added a bunch of London casinos to the list --Cowgummi (talk) 01:12, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Todo
editThis is a summary of what needs to be done according to the discussions:
- Decide what is a casino and should be included in the list: Racinos, casinos with bingo machines? Card rooms? Cruise ships? Temporary casinos like Klondike Days Casino?
- What to do about all of the red links? Remove them or start stubs for all of those pages?
- What to do about casino chains such as Maxims or Grosvenor in the UK? List them for both UK and each city or create subheadings for each city?
- List of casinos in countries/cities that need to be updated/extended (list not complete): UK, Austria, Switzerland, Thailand Completed: Germany --Cowgummi (talk) 02:19, 17 April 2013 (UTC)--Cowgummi (talk) 01:53, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- List of Macau casinos is already here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_in_Macau#Casinos Do we need duplication of can it just be linked?--Cowgummi (talk) 02:59, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- There exists a separate page for List of casinos and horse racing tracks in Alberta. Link to that page from here?--Cowgummi (talk) 03:17, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- I added the 3 land based casinos that were missing from Malta. Why were they removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeditom (talk • contribs) 13:48, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Cleanup
editList was out of order. Now alphabetized, until the next person adds more and is too lazy to sort! --Cheap-stock-photos (talk) 01:33, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
