Hmmm... what would be the purpose of this article? I understand that listing Lithuanian names could be of some use since there are some old maps that use Polish and Latin names as well as some Lithuanian names for those places. However, the official languages of the GDL were Ruthenian and Polish, not Lithuanian, so I doubt these names were official at any point in time. Also, until early 29th century, Lithuanian was written with a completely different set of letters. I guess we should either make this article a tad more informative by adding current names and contemporary names, or simply delete it as a piece of some strange propaganda. Add Polish, Ruthenian, Latin, Lithuanian in older alphabet names in parenthesis if you want. The article is far from complete (especially the second section, where someone simply added current capitals of the municipalities of modern Lithuania, some of which, e.g. Mažeikiai, did not exist at time of LGD). I added Belarussian names where I know them, but there probably needs to be some explaination what name is of what language and such. Table might be good, same as in List of Rulers of Lithuania article. DeirYassin07:06, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
Yup, a table might solve the POV. How about listing all the names with either only the modern name linked or bolded? Halibutt 09:20, August 22, 2005 (UTC)
It might be done especially if the table is done; although redirects by now are already created so links are to the correct articles anyways. DeirYassin09:29, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
