Merge with Neighborhoods of Miami-Dade County

Both the pages seem incomplete and it is not clear if they are addressing different views of the same topic or not. Pietro (talk) 03:32, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

• Observations –
  • A deprecated {{wikify}} tag was removed from Neighborhoods of Miami-Dade County on 3 October 2012. It should probably have been replaced with an {{underlinked}} tag. None of the communities in that article are linked, while all of the communities in List of communities in Miami-Dade County, Florida are.
  • It probably makes sense to merge Neighborhoods of Miami-Dade County into List of communities in Miami-Dade County, Florida#City districts and neighborhoods, unless the neighborhood is a municipality or a Census Designated Place (though I suspect those are already thoroughly covered).
  • There's some overlap, for example Bunche Park is in both articles. It should only be mentioned once in the merged article.
  • Neighborhoods of Miami-Dade County is alphabetized by city, with alphabetized sub-lists of neighborhoods within each city. List of communities in Miami-Dade County, Florida#City districts and neighborhoods is just alphabetized by neighborhood over the entire county. I'm not sure which method of organization is better.

I've done a lot of work on this article (view history). I'm a bit dubious about doing a full merge. Neighborhoods of Miami-Dade County is based on a single source, a website that's shut its doors. I've added to the neighborhoods list all neighborhoods that have Wikipedia articles on them that I could find. Provided they have been properly categorized, my list is comprehensive. Maybe if someone can find another source to verify that these communities exist, then they can be added, or perhaps write the article first, so we don't have red links. Maybe some of these are not notable. Is every single subdivision notable? Like Oak Forest, Miami? Wbm1058 (talk) 22:44, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
