I'm puzzled by the inclusion of this section - has the founders of the listed companies in this section formally stated that their respective companies belongs to the PRC or is set up on behalf of the PRC, or is this section included because the founders are from the PRC but not necessarily have any affiliation with the nation? If it's the latter, I don't know if this section belongs in this article because we would have to list all the companies in each country (i.e. the United States) with founders of various nationalities as their country of origin being the nationality of the company (for example, Goldman Sachs would be listed as a German company because its founders were either from Germany or were first generation German-Americans).Satanstorm (talk) 20:28, 12 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've removed this for now until someone can clarify the original intent. Maybe it makes for sense to have a sub-article with this information? Right now, without specific inclusion criteria, it's impossible to maintain. Kuru(talk)21:44, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

This article seems to have devolved into a bit of a mess. There appears to be four separate lists; a random table of about a dozen firms, an alphabetical list, a list by sector, and a list of firms founded by "overseas chinese". I would propose merging all lists into the sector list, but dropping the "overseas" list as ill-defined. The criteria for inclusion seems to already be set at notable firms, so I'll clean that up at least. Please provide feedback on this proposal. Kuru(talk)17:51, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the response. Without any other feedback, I'll work on merging the sections while retaining all of the additional information. One question: I can't seem to pinpoint a clear consensus on the inclusion of Macau and Hong Kong - as they have their own seperate lists, are they needed here? The discussion above is not clear to me. Kuru(talk)21:46, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
