Hello! I'm moving Clara Schumann's compositions to this new page and will then expand out as many of these compositions to their own pages as I can. I have combined the current information on her biography page with the IMSLP information about her compositions. Once this page is fleshed out, I will update the current composition part of her biography to eliminate the doubling of information. As I'm new to Wikipedia, I sincerely hope I'm not running afoul of style guides or guidelines. Please point me in the right direction if I am! CherylFM (talk) 02:38, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
As an aside, the dates of publication for works with opus numbers are from the current Clara Schumann biography page, and the other works' dates are from IMSLP. Neither is adequately referenced, so that does need to be cleaned up.CherylFM (talk) 13:29, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

As the page's introductory paragraph says: works with opus number are listed with publication date; those without opus get date of composition. This inconsistency appears to be simply the sources used by the first person to create this list (see talk page previous discussion above). I've noticed some contributors recently have "corrected" some of the opus number dates to a composition date, not realizing they're supposed to be that of publication. I undid those edits, but in my opinion all dates listed should be that of composition as that seems to be more useful information than first publication date. Opinions on this, anyone? If no one disagrees, I will change the dates of all compositions with opus numbers to composition date.
