I am afraid that I find the rules involved in commenting on the adequacy of an article without actually editing it to be complicated and confusing, so I apologize if I fall short here. However, this article is missing very important things in the list of US art museums alone. The following extremely important museums are not listed: The Guggenheim in New York, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Hirschhorn Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute in Washingon DC. I suspect that this is just the start of what might be missing since those are only the ones I noticed off the top of my head. I do not have the time or capacity to work on this myself, but it is a glaring problem and I hope someone will fix it, including by going beyond the obvious omissions I have mentioned.
