counties without towns
editThere were once three counties without any towns. Does anyone know them? Chris 06:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC) I believe they were
- Arthur County, Nebraska
- Grant County, Nebraska
- Hooker County, Nebraska —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kintetsubuffalo (talk • contribs) 07:01, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Not sure how to edit this, but the link to the Census information for Madison County goes to McPherson County, and vice versa. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.33.53.97 (talk) 23:13, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Map errors
editNot sure how to correct these but the links to Holt, Boone and York counties are incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.146.199.168 (talk) 22:31, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Dakota county plates
editI've excised the sentence and reference:
"It was announced on June 8, 2009 that Dakota County will start using the ABC 123 format beginning in 2011, when the new plates are expected to roll out. [1]"
In response to a strong public reaction in favor of keeping the 70 prefix, the decision to use the ABC 123 format was reversed on August 17, 2009. The Sioux City Journal covered the story on August 18, 2009: http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/news/article_98d2a1b0-3bc4-5bef-947d-3c5b3bb51590.html

Inconsistency in listing of townships
editSome Nebraska county articles list cities (which are governmentally independent of any township, as opposed to villages, CDPs, etc., which are always located in some township) in their township listings, whereas others do not. What is (or should be) the standard procedure for these listings? Backspace (talk) 18:24, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- The relationship between cities and townships appears to vary within the state: per "Township Governments", first page, second column, of this US Census document, "Township governments exist in 28 of the 93 Nebraska counties. Within these 28 counties, township governments do not cover the entire area of the counties: some cities, but not all, exist outside the area of any township."
- We can only be as consistent as the phenomenon that we're describing... Ammodramus (talk) 03:12, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Original Counties
editFor some counties, the list has "one of nine original counties", but only eight are listed! TFMcQ (talk) 23:29, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
