Iraq
editThe office of Vice President of Iraq was abolished on August 11, 2015. It was later restored on October 10, 2016. Since that date, new veeps are yet to be elected or appointed. The previous veeps tenure ended with the abolishment of their offices. GoodDay (talk) 17:01, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I have proposed a merge into this articles. I'm not sure the source article is separately useful. ~Kvng (talk) 13:55, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
I am absolutely against. Merging is a loss of information. List of current vice presidents and designated acting presidents shows only the current situation. List of vice presidents in 2017 presents a chronological list of vice-presidents. As far as I know, at least in the virtual environment, there is no chronological presentation for vice presidents Bogdan Uleia (talk)
President with his wife as vice president
editLike Claire Underwood in House of Cards (U.S. TV series), two real life presidents have their wife as vice president:
- Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo of Nicaragua since 10.01.2017
- Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva of Azerbaijan since 21.02.2017
Are there other (historical) examples?----Bancki (talk) 18:44, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Vice-presidents of Syria
editThe term of Vice-presidents coincides with the term of office of the president who appointed them. So the term of current vice-presidents ended on 17 July 2021, when the president Assad began a new term. Because, unlike in 2014, there is no decree appointing the new vice-presidents, I consider the position vacant. On the other hand, according to the constitution, their appointment is not mandatory

- Concerning the Assad gov't & looking at their bios, perhaps we should consider them as still being incumbents. I edited the List of vice presidents in 2021 article, as though they are. Bt if you want to revert those changes, I won't object. I don't know if they still are. I'm not certain about the rival gov't veeps either. GoodDay (talk) 21:24, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
