Inclusion

It's not really my intention to list ALL abandoned airports but only those that needed an article in Wikipedia. If all were listed it would soon grow too long as the number of heliports change very quickly. CambridgeBayWeather 15:58, 30 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I think it might be a good idea to at least try. I'm from Canada and think this would be a neat idea but don't know how you find out about the abandoned ones. LdyDragonfly 03:50, 7 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
There are a certain number of them listed in the Canada Flight Supplement but they only list the name and the coordinates. Plus they are only listed as long as part of the airport is still visable as a reference point from the air. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 04:10, 7 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of abandoned airports in CanadaList of former airports in Canada — The term "abandoned", implies that the airport is still there, but not being used. However, this may not be the case for all airports, where some have been disassembled, and redeveloped. "defunct" could also be used to replace "abandoned" in the title. 117Avenue (talk) 05:53, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Support moving to List of defunct airports in Canada as this should have been done at the same time the category was. Enter CBW, waits for audience applause, not a sausage. 08:47, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
