Reputable sources
editRecently, IP address users have been editing this article and inserting false and or unsourced information relating to the equipment currently in service with the Serbian Land Forces. I would like to remind all who edit this article in the future, to resort to credible sources first, before inserting new information. This includes a certain piece of equipment and the quantity.
The official Serbian Armed Forces website provides the most credible information related to this aritcle, please use it. It is available in both Serbian and English.
Examples of improperly placed content include:
- T-72 - No credible sources indicate that Serbia operates the T-72.
- Lazar BVT - This vehicle still appears to be under evaluation. Meaning it is currently not in service. Until an official announcement is made, this information should remain ommited from the article.
- Nora B-52 - This piece has according to some sources, been exported, however there is no official source stating it has entered service in Serbia. Just a side note, not everything a country produces is necessarily used by that country. Buttons (talk) 23:21, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Sources
editI don't understand why only this page of military equipment must to have sources about each weapon ore vehicle? Other pages are full of incorect informations (Albanian Army equipment list, Croatian military equipment list, Armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina equipment list, and there is a lot of equipment lists with no reputable sources (Armenian army equipment list, Azerbaijani land forces equipment list, Georgian army equipment list, Romanian amred forces equipment list, Czech army equipment list...). All those lists have even numbers, and I don't want to put fake numbers about number of trucks, etc, if I don't know, I don't put them. But if I have pictures of some equipment (vehicles) that I have made personaly, why is not the image reliable source that some equipment is in use with Serbian Army? Editing dispute 30 May 2017
editHi Thomas.W and Evandro321. This page has been protected from editing because it seems that you can't agree on some content. From your edit summaries and ignoring the sockpuppet's edits, it seems to me that the dispute is over the scope of the article: whether it should include air equipment or be limited to only ground equipment. Evandro321's most recent edit was restoring the ground equipment without the equipment used by the air forces. Was that the entire dispute and is it now resolved? Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:13, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Ivanvector: The main problem was constant edit-warring on multiple articles by Evandro321, who totally ignored all attempts to make them understand that air force equipment doesn't belong in an article about the equipment of an army, and not only on this article but also Equipment of the Polish Army ([1]) and others, and just blindly reverted over and over again without even trying to discuss it. Possibly because of not being proficient enough in English to understand the messages they got (judging by the rudimentary English in their edit summaries...). - Tom | Thomas.W talk 18:33, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- I think that you're probably right, but it's worth noting they were being reverted by a sockpuppet who is notorious for edit warring. It does seem like they understand not to add air force info to the army articles now, though, based on their last edit where they removed it. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:42, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Requested move 17 October 2020
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved to "List of equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces" per consensus and WP:CONSISTENT. Further discussion not required as this seems like an uncontroversial move. VR talk 07:15, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces → List of equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces – Same as the others in the category. Eurohunter (talk) 18:30, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support as per proposal. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 02:11, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
- The article was moved here in 2018 from Equipment of the Serbian Army, but it doesn't actually include equipment from the whole Serbian Armed Forces — most prominently, any manned aircraft. I feel like the title should match the actual scope of the article. (i.e. either include all equipment or change the title to something more fitting) BegbertBiggs (talk) 22:19, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- The discussion above is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
