Bellamy's "credit card"

edit

The "credit card" in Looking Backward is nothing like what we would call a credit card; it is essentially a ration book. —Tamfang (talk) 20:45, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Nonpredictions

edit

When a writer blabs about invention, that already exists, that's not a prediction. Example: Verne did not predict gas-discharge lamp, he superficially described miners safety lamp, which was already invented, made and demonstrated by Dumas and Benoit 8 years earlier (for those who did not catch first time - it was ALREADY MADE and working and known to public, including Verne). There are multiple similar errors in article. 213.226.141.84 (talk) 18:19, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Another example. Underwater television patent application filed in 1931, granted in 1936, US patent US2060670A. So going around "predicting" it in year 1944 is kinda late and useless, don't you think so? 213.226.141.142 (talk) 02:49, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
