Species which may be added to this list soon
editI asked Joshua Styles of the North-West Rare Plant Initiative if he was aware of any species I had missed from this list, and he just said that the fringed gentian (Gentianopsis crinita) is very likely extinct and I should keep checking whether this is announced. I found a list in the Daily Mail[1] of plant species most likely to become extinct in the UK soon, and the list (which seems to focus on pretty species) was
- Epipogium aphyllum
- Cephalanthera rubra
- Campanula patula
- Melampyrum cristatum
- Thlaspi perfoliatum
- Orchis purpurea
- Salvia pratensis
- Moneses uniflora
- Linnaea borealis
- Platanthera bifolia
- Hypopitys monotropa
It might be worth checking the status of these every couple of years for this article.Regularuk (talk) 08:25, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
