Disagreement with deletion:

I oppose the deletion of the artical. The artical list is valid because many of the family seats are already listed within wikipedia. This list groups them by place name title.

Per Proposed deletion policy: If you disagree: Any editor who disagrees with a proposed deletion can simply remove the tag. Even after the page is deleted, any editor can have the page restored by any administrator simply by asking. In both cases the editor is encouraged to fix the perceived problem with the page. Renominations: Once the proposed deletion of a page has been objected to by anyone, it may not be proposed for deletion again. If an editor still feels the page ought to be deleted, a deletion discussion should be used, as indicated below. Drachenfyre 06:18, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Should English estates be listed as the seats of Welsh gentry? This seems dubious to me. It seems to me that this article should list estates in Wales, the one on English family seats should list estates in England, and so forth. john k 21:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The index is linking the Welsh title with the primary residence of the title-holder. Not necessarily strictly those estates in Wales.Drachenfyre (talk) 03:46, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Charles a member of the Welsh gentry?!

edit

Whatever one's opinion of Prince Charles, he is surely classed as a member of the nobility/royalty, not as of the gentry (see that article's definition). I also wonder how appropriate it is to describe his recently acquired holiday home in Myddfai as his "family seat"! In my opinion he should not be on this list, as he is not a member of the gentry, not Welsh (despite his title), and furthermore his family seat is in England, not Wales. Fails on all counts.
