disputed info
editBesides the literal question marks included in the article, and unsupported assertions of when various local clubs had meetings or not, there is at least one outright probably-false statement in the article, that "All have subsequently been sold, and have been converted to non-Masonic use". I simply do not believe that, and it is not supported.
Disagreement about this will be mooted if the ongoing merger concludes and this is just dropped in the merger. --Doncram (talk) 20:32, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- I further just added three {{disputed inline}} tags in the Arkansas section. One for false statement that a given building is commercial, which is not what the given source suggests, and two for completely unsupported assertions apparently based upon an editor's failure to find information. Better not to assert anything at all. I won't do much more of this.
- It is just slipshod stuff, not worthy of mainspace, meant by one editor to support "former" vs. "current" list. I don't welcome maintaining any such distinction. Unlike for Roman Catholic churches where a diocese may provide definitive information, and unlike for Carnegie libraries which are public libraries, it is simply not always feasible to know who owns or operates a given Masonic building. That's what Masonry is about, being secret, seriously. Demonstrated by numerous question marks and notes of "unknown", even by an editor bent on finding any support at all, whether reliable or not. --Doncram (talk) 21:15, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Per http://www.argrandlodge.com/find-a-lodge, the El Dorado Lodge is active at the given location. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:20, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- The Hampton building is currently a library: http://www.calcolibrary.com/about-mission/ --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:27, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- And the Yell Lodge listed on the AR Grand Lodge page seems to be 10 miles away from the location in the article. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:34, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- If El Dorado is active at the historic building, please move it to the other list.
- As for the secrecy crap... Grand lodges maintain websites with the locations of lodges listed. It is easy to check if a given building is being used for Masonic purposes or not. Blueboar (talk) 21:53, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
