Query
editAre there reasons for the majority of these designation changes? Most of them are just listed as changes of name, but I kept wondering "why?" Only a few of the entries give a reason. Awadewit (talk) 17:45, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Dates
editDo all of the entries need dates for the name changes, deletions, etc.? Awadewit (talk) 18:51, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Length of road
editDo all of the entries need to list how long the road was? Awadewit (talk) 18:51, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Purpose of this list?
editI have posted this question at WT:NYSR#A smorgasbord of topics. – TMF 15:13, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

edit- NY 49A - no idea where this route was, it's not on any of my maps.
- NY 50S - seems to be a neologism for an alternate route of NY 50 in Schenectady. I have some maps that mark this and "mainline" NY 50 as "50", and some that mark this as "ALT 50" and the mainline as "50". Either way, none of them have 50S. – TMF 06:02, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- NY 8B - again, no idea where this was. – TMF 01:42, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- NY 188 (1969-70) - the only source that indicates this designation ever existed is New York Routes, an unreliable SPS. Also, the line describing the assignment of NY 434 in the 1970 log implies that the road did not have any other designations than NY 17. – TMF 21:23, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
