Triva
editIsn't listing 7-digit publishers, publishers anticipating publishing 10 or fewer books, a bit ridiculous? If the list was ever completed, it'd just be a monstrous heap of triva. -- 96.243.0.106 18:47 (UTC) 27 January 2010
- I think as long as a publisher or book has a Wikipedia entry with an ISBN then it is OK to list them here. Those publishers and books are non-trivial by WP standards. Any others we can prune. Eventually all this kind of data will be available on Wikidata, but for now it is relevant here I think. 104.32.193.6 (talk) 15:06, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
numerical error?
editThere appears to be an error in the table at 2nd row, 2nd column. It says 9 digits for the item number, but this would make the total length of the ISBN 16 digits not 13: 987-gg-r-iiiiiiiii-x.
Also comparing with List_of_group-1_ISBN_publisher_codes the table show 6 digits in the same position but otherwise the first two columns are identical. Hedles (talk) 11:26, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- I've corrected it[1]; it originally said 6 digits but had been vandalised. Peter James (talk) 10:15, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
