List of heads of state of Cambodia

If this is page were for only some then it would be reflected with a name like List of Presidents of Cambodia. There is no reason to exclude some heads of state. tahc ^chat 16:38, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

I understand what you want to say. I don't have some special problem with that... But, so far this list included only the heads of state who didn't rule with the title of king, in the 1960–1993 period. If you insist, we can remodel the list to include the post-1993 heads of state (kings) as well. Great. Then I will remodel it accordingly, sometime later today. Of course, I will remodel the infobox as well - as of now, it only contain data about the former heads of state; it must contain the current king, etc... Also, I have an idea - why don't we expand the list to include the pre-1960 heads of state (kings since 1860)? If we include post-1993 kings, as you want it, why don't we include kings from 1860 to 1960 as well? Then it would be a list of all heads of state of modern Cambodia. For the years 1860 to 1960, the pages French Protectorate of Cambodia and French Indochina indicate that the heads of state Cambodia was the President of France.

Maybe the monarchs can be added/merged in the same way that local monarchs are indicated in the the List of Kings of Swaziland for the years 1903–1968-- namely "Cambodia kings/monarchs under French rule (1860–1960)". tahc ^chat 17:36, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

@Tahc: Yes, I understand... Maybe the section can be called simply the "French Protectorate of Cambodia (1863–1953)" (Cambodia gained independence in 1953), and then naturally followed by the existing "Kingdom of Cambodia (1953–70)" section. Also, we should have in mind the Japanese occupation of Cambodia - should it be marked somehow as well, if not as an different section? In the end, maybe the sections at List of Prime Ministers of Cambodia can be helpful in making decisions here. --Sundostund (talk) 17:45, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
