Should cardboard box really be in this list? It sounds more flippant than factual in this list, and the linked article makes no mention of using a cardboard box as loding.

Needs some serious renovation!

Airplanes, cars, psychiatric hospitals? While some may at some point sleep and eat within these, I don't really think that most in the world, including the severely mentally ill and the homeless, would associate such with "lodging". I also agree. A list of lodgings should focus on what people think of as lodgings, not every space in which you can lodge. Perhaps this article should be renamed to "List of lodgeable spaces" instead?

A list of lodging types should contain the different types of inns(hostels, hotels, motels, etc.). Airplanes does offer rooms with beds these days and might still be appropriate, and also trains with sleep cars. Tents, campers, and trailers are a bit questionable but perhaps not trailer parks? Institutionalized(Hospitals, prison, monestaries) living shouldn't be here, and not the different types of locations in which you can sleep in public, like bus stops and cardboard boxes. (I am a bit surpriced no one added lodging under bridges.) Caves and shelters for homless does not belong. And I don't think permanent dwellings like appartments and bungalos does either. Baracks, dormitories, nurserly homes and Tree House should be gone too.

Also, the article really shouldn't say "...Items on this list should be types of lodging, however loosely defined." It makes an interesting list but a poor encyclopedia article. And if it should say that at all, it should be here on the talk page and not in the article itself. Actually, I'll rephrase that right away.--Nakerlund (talk) 23:50, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Temporary construction site housing

What is the name of the rectangular buildings that are used for housing workers at construction sitesm and that are often chained together both horizontally and vertically, and each single unit can easily be hauled on the back of a truck. __meco (talk) 11:58, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
