British or english
editIn this it states about the British glorious revelution in 1688, yet the designation british does not come in until the act of union 1707. Am i mistaken or should it be English instead of british? soory if im wrong
versus Royalist
editUser:Stijn Calle has changed both Royalist and Monarchism to record his opinion that the two concepts are different. I do not think these are minor edits. --RichardVeryard 19:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

National Movement Simeon the Second, Bulgaria
editThe party has changed it's name and is no longer named after the monarch, and even in it's founding was not a monarchist party. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.230.15.145 (talk) 11:47, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
List dispute
editThis is getting out of hand. Links are being added by User:Gylatshalit that aren't even remotely organizations. I'm tagging accordingly. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 03:56, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

What is the reason that User:Gylatshalit gives for moving this page from "Monarchism" to "List of monarchist organizations"? I really don't see the point of deleting the introduction at all and this is supposed to be an article about monarchism not just an incomplete list of organizations. Some of the major changes made by User:Gylatshalit should be reverted. 76.88.39.179 (talk) 05:53, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
There used to be an article on Wikipedia about monarchism as a political philosophy, but now no more. User:Gylatshalit got rid of the article and redirected attempts to reach it to this list instead. The monarchism article certainly had developed too long a list, but surely it should have been forked from this point rather than removed entirely. I'm going to attempt a fork. - Here's my attempt to restore the other fork: Monarchism Lereman (talk) 17:11, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
I really don't see the purpose of this article at all. What is User:Gylatshalit trying to accomplish here? It should be nominated for deletion.76.88.39.179 (talk) 00:52, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
I just removed a ton of links from this article. This is a worthy project for someone more knowledgeable than I, but right now it lacks any sort of guiding purpose or philosophy. Some of the non-external links I removed were just articles about branches of a nations military! How does Saudi Arabian National Guard belong on a list of kingdoms and royal dynasties? I made a passing effort to track down a few replacement links if it looked like a subsection needed them, but clearly a more selective editorial process is warranted. Political parties are neither kingdoms, nor royal dynasties.
editPerhaps because List of monarchist organizations, kingdoms and royal dynasties redirects here, the article was peppered with occasional links to monarchist political parties. These might belong in a list of their own, or maybe in a distinct subsection of this article. (I'm guessing it would be redundant with Category:Monarchist parties.) I removed them, because having them interspersed throughout this article seems needlessly confusing, at least to me. Grayfell (talk) 08:06, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Maybe merge or redirect to List of dynasties?
editHello everyone, I was wondering, but wouldn't it be best to either merge or redirect this page to List of dynasties article? Since it looks much more organized and focuses on the same idea as this page. Plus the only problem on the other article is that it's incomplete. Thanks, JayzBox (talk) 07:13, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
