I have found a list of Acadian governors with slightly different information in it. The names and the dates are not the same. Here it is:

http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/yoyo/Text-75.htm

I am not certain if this list is accurate, so I didn't change anything in the wikipedia list. If somebody wants to confirm which list is more accurate...

John Doucett

edit

There is some question what his roles were in what years. Definitely 1717-20 he acted for Richard Phillips. Phillips was then in the Province for 3 years or so...Important? not so much but someone may want to check it out further..Stormbay 21:26, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fractured resposibilities

edit

If someone wants to make this table/article a document with some historical teeth, they need to do a narrative on how duties were split up at various times. It is not as linear as the table implies. (some happy editing for someone (-: Stormbay 19:42, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jonathan Belcher

edit

OK, something needs to be done about the Jonathan Belcher link here. It directs to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Belcher who is actually his father (both had the same name).

  • You are correct! The Jonathan Belcher who served as L-Governor from 176o-63 was the acting governor for the absent Peregrine Thomas Hopson. I am one person who made a mistake since the fellow I linked was dead during that period...nice catch. I will fix the one link now and maybe build an article for the other. --Stormbay 16:51, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Name

edit

It erks me that this article is still called the list of LIEUTENANT Governors when it includes Governors as will as LGs. This article should the title Viceroys of Nova Scotia, or Governors and Lieutenant Governors of Nova Scotia, or have the Governors in a separate article. Yes, you have expressed that opinion before, and that concern was not shared by others. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 18:45, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Numbering

edit

I see the numbering of the post-Confederation 'lieutenant governors' has been changed. I hope this changes is correct. GoodDay (talk) 00:02, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Caulfeild

edit

Per his DCB biography, and biographies of Samuel Vetch, Thomas Caulfeild was never commissioned governor of NS. Why is he listed as such here? Magic♪piano 20:42, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

While I'm at it, why isn't Sir Charles Hobby listed if Caulfeild is? He was an acting governor under Vetch's first term. Magic♪piano 20:45, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
