List of longest-serving governors of U.S. States → List of longest-serving United States governors – The suggestion is under more formal styling. 2601:241:300:B610:258F:1DA2:C65E:B0C6 (talk) 22:48, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- I'm somewhat concerned the new name may read like it is about the nonexistent title of a "U.S. governor."--Yaksar (let's chat) 23:43, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Maybe it could be something like List of longest-serving governors in the United States?2601:241:300:B610:29AB:B947:36CC:C7 (talk) 03:45, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Support: if only because the word "States" should not be capitalized in the current title. (See, for example, the article U.S. state, which has a lowercase "s" in "state"). Mysterymanblue 06:46, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Beesechurg (talk | edits) 16:55, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose move as proposed, per Yaksar's concerns regarding "United States governor" not being a term. Neutral on a move to List of longest-serving governors in the United States. Support a move to fix that "States" should not be capitalized if no other title finds consensus. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 03:09, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support I don't share Yaksar's concern. I read "United States governor" as just a simple composition of "governor" with the attributive "United States". But I'm also fine with the other options that have been suggested up to this point. And would even be fine with just List of longest-serving governors of U.S. states. - Move to List of longest-serving governors of U.S. states. List of longest-serving governors in the United States is too generic; governors of the Fed or the USPS are technically also 'governors in the United States'. Colonestarrice (talk) 22:57, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
