Cut off point
editWhat is a good cut-off point when talking about extirpations and extinction? The IUCN uses 1500 yet there are many ancient-but-not-prehistoric extinctions (ex. lions and cheetahs) that were extirpated from Russia before 1500. This goes for species lists like these in general. So anyone have a good cut-off date? 2001:1970:48AA:8100:7DBA:AF6C:7955:773B (talk) 14:19, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
