Splitting
edit@Totallynotarandomalt69: Dear colleague, I am a bit confused, could you please clarify:
- what was the purpose of splitting this list from the city article City of Liverpool (New South Wales)? The latter article is not large and contains other tabular data of similar size.
- the name of this article is confusing to me: stating "Liverpool" without disambiguation brings the image of the British city to many minds outside Australia. Would "List of mayors of Liverpool (New South Wales)" be better?
A minor note: copying text from another Wikipedia article requires attribution (see WP:COPYWITHIN). Викидим (talk) 16:09, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there – I split purely because there's a number of local government areas (LGAs) in New South Wales with their own mayoral list pages due to their sizes or notability, Liverpool has a somewhat substantial population
- Definitely agree that adding "(New South Wales)" would be better, I think it's an uncontroversial move and I'd be happy for you to do it now
- And you're right regarding COPYWITHIN, not sure if it's worth noting it in my next edit or something just as clarification? Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 16:13, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- When I forget the WP:CWW myself, I usually perform a minor edit with the proper comment. So far, nobody complained about such practice, so it is probably an OKish way to go. Викидим (talk) 16:20, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Good call, I've just done that myself Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 16:23, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
