Names of journal have to be wikilinked

edit

Please link the journal names to their corresponding articles on wikipedia. --Enric Naval (talk) 14:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

Please note that ISI claims copyright over lists based on their impact factor.A list of journals is admissible, but it should not include the impact factors (and certainly not be sortable on IF)... --Crusio (talk) 16:50, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

RfC on journal list names

edit

There is an RfC regarding the standardization of journal lists names. Please comment at Talk:List of journals#RFC. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 01:38, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Outdated list

edit

Why were these journals picked? The list seems arbitrary. This is such an outdated list - missing newer important journals such as JMIR Med Inform... Check the latest Clarivate report for the current ranking!--66.207.217.61 (talk) 18:47, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please feel free to create new stand-alone articles about missing notable journals, if independent sources about them exist (see also WP:GNG and WP:WTAF). Any sourced contributions are appreciated. GermanJoe (talk) 21:40, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
My edits to this wikipedia article were reverted (see history tab) so I will no longer contribute, but the sources I used were the Journal Citation Reports 2019 by Clarivate Analytics (ranking by impact factor in the Medical Informatics discipline). Google ranks by h-index https://scholar.google.ca/citations?view_op=top_venues&hl=en&vq=med_medicalinformatics so this is another possible list you may use but it contains errors in journal names (e.g. #4 is "JMIR mHealth and uHealth"). Good luck with editing - hopefully you find somebody else updating this outdated list, I'm not gonna waste my time here only to see my well-referenced edits reverted. --66.207.217.61 (talk) 15:07, 12 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I should also point out that my edits are in compliance with criteria 1b and 1c from Wikipedia:Notability (academic journals) and I also did reference the Journal Citation Reports 2019 / Science Citation Index Expanded, where all these journals are listed and which is evidence of notability. These edits were vandalized by [User:GermanJoe|GermanJoe], see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_medical_and_health_informatics_journals&type=revision&diff=904317978&oldid=904314762. --66.207.217.61 (talk) 15:20, 12 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Support to keep the edits which are in line with WP:NJOURNALS 1c). I reverted the deletion but also removed the IFs 2607:FEA8:A660:192:985:E2ED:E180:2FE4 (talk) 12:38, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
The inclusion criteria for lists are explained at WP:CSC, further information can be found at WP:GNG and WP:WTAF. If you believe that a truely "notable" journal is missing, please write a short, well-sourced stub for this journal first. Then such notable journals can be included here too of course. For 3 quick examples of similar lists with the same handling, see List of healthcare journals, List of medical journals, and List of nursing journals. There is absolutely no reason why this particular list should be treated any differently. GermanJoe (talk) 13:09, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
