The living dead
edit"This list does not include deceased members". So Seymour Benzer, Norman Horowitz, and Alfred Sturtevant are ... zombies? Felsenst (talk) 18:21, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

editIn summary from multiple edits, I believe I updated this list fully* today. I added new members and deceased members (plus updating any already listed members who have since passed) based on NAS member website of national members and primary appointment as genetics. As there is no more "living members only" in the description for these list (and others previous to now have updated the list with (d.) next to names denoting deceased. I updated (d.) -> (d. <YEAR>). Remaining things I didn't fully address:
*Caveats to "fully updated":
I did not look at international members (living or deceased), only national members!
I did not remove someone I didn't see on NAS living or deceased list. I assume if they were listed here but not on NAS website, their secondary appointment might be genetics? (Or someone mistakenly added in the past?)
Berwind Kauffman didn't have institution listed on NAS website, I didn't take the time to dive further, but the info is out there!
Fun (?) fact: As of today, the list of alive NAS (Genetics) members is roughly 2x that of deceased NAS (Genetics) members Cyanochic (talk) 02:41, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
