editThis is a fabulous resource! Thanks to all the contributors. I'm wondering if there is an easy way of obtaining an excel table with info in columns. E.g., a country column, name column, subscribers column. It would help me to manipulate / sort the data. I imagine I could manipulate the file with a visual basic program. But I'm wondering if there was something premade or some tool I wasn't aware of (as I don't know how to program in visual basic myself.)
Thanks for any insights.

Qwest Wireless doesnt appear to be an MVNO any longer
editFrom what I can tell, Qwest Wireless no longer exists. They had been an MVNO on Sprint's network. Now they just resell VZW like any 3rd party cellular business (liker you might find in a mall or with a storefront). They have no network, rented or owned. So I dont think they belong in this list any more than Moe's Mega Mobile Mart in Minneapolis does. ---- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.25.206.15 (talk) 01:11, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Verizon and AT&T Subscriber Counts
editWhy are there two numbers for sucriber counts for AT&T and Verizon? This looks really confusing. Which number shows the true number of subscribers?
I found several articles that clarify the issue, yet the entry on wikipedia just confuses things. For Verizon, wikipedia has it listed for 101 million and 93.2 million, which i assume is wireless connections (anyone care to let me know what those are?) and customer base respectively.
According to wikipedia, AT&T has 92.8 million "customers" and 84 million "subscribers". What is it with this deceptive wording?

Verizon has 93.2 million customers, and AT&T has 92.8 million. That's what it should be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark0528 (talk • contribs) 20:54, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Unicel/AEIOU
editRemoved AEIOU from Brazilian operators. The operator has bankruptcy in 05/2011, and became now a defunct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.198.193.241 (talk) 16:14, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Removed tags
editI've removed two outdated tags from the top of the article. One says that additional citations are needed. This is not appropriate where the article (list actually) already has 132 citations. If additional verification is needed regarding a particular fact, use an inline tag instead. (That tag has languished since 2008 or so; it's high time that it be removed.) I've also removed a proposed merge tag from 2013. Not one word of discussion has taken place, so I am making a non-admin close of the discussion (or lack thereof) as no consensus to merge.
