Add National Military Appreciation Month (observed in the U.S.) to the list of May's month-long observances. A source to cite for it could be the link to the U.S. senate resolution-text itself, found at: https://www.congress.gov/bill/106th-congress/senate-resolution/33/text 2601:189:581:9800:70C9:E7E0:B8C6:AF9 (talk) 14:11, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Not done, source suggests this was only done for a single year in May 1999, rather than being a recurrent month. --Lord Belbury (talk) 14:16, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
It actually reoccurs every year for the month of May.

Thank you, but we only list observances that have articles. See Wikipedia:Write the article first, Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists#Selection criteria and WP:CULTURALREFS. A quick Googl search shows this was declared by the Governor of Michigan and has little recognition outside the medical field., so it is not likely to noteworthy enough for an article. See WP:N. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This has been recognized/acknowledged for over 30 years. There are countless national DV awareness websites as well as The White House and Department of Justice websites that can confirm this information.

Done OK, that links to here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2023/09/29/a-proclamation-on-national-domestic-violence-awareness-and-prevention-month-2023/, which is the original proclamation. The other problem is that each candidate month needs a wikipedia article, but that can be found here. Putting it in. Healthy Aging Month

I think that we need a Wikipedia article on "Healthy Aging Month" (September)[1][2][3] and inclusion in this list of month-long observances.MaynardClark (talk) 19:52, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

I am asking for the article to be authored. Here is a sample DRAFT of how the article could be developed.

"Healthy Aging Month" (September)[1][2][3]

(September) is recognized as "Healthy Aging Month", bringing attention to the well-being of older adults. This [social marketing|awareness initiative]] aims to highlight the changes that occur in both physical and mental health as people age. It emphasizes the significance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to navigate these changes effectively and to minimize the risk of common health issues associated with aging.[4][5][6] It is recognized by the US Department of Homeland Security[7] and the US Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services[8] and other government and private organizations. MaynardClark (talk) 00:56, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

I think if you want an article written you're going to have to write it yourself. Maybe start with that, and add another paragraph based on a reliable source discussing it, rather than celebrating it? That would probably be publishable as an article. Mrfoogles (talk) 23:15, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Also, the talk page for the list is not the place to put article requests. There article requests here at Wikipedia:Requested_articles. You should put this there. Mrfoogles (talk) 23:16, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 20 April 2024 Topic: Month June

June is either Men's Mental Health Month or Men's Health Month. Conflicting sources: https://www.dhs.gov/employee-resources/blog/2021/06/15/june-mens-health-month DHS says June is Men's Health Month while OASH says the month is meant to focus on men's health and mental health: https://www.womenshealth.gov/blog/mens-mental-health . Benefits.gov also commemorates Men's Health Month: https://www.benefits.gov/news/article/368 . 2600:1702:22F4:9010:CC3E:229A:C25C:9EDC (talk) 22:57, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
