Shepparton mosque
editA mosque was opened in 1960 in Shepparton, the predominantly Albanian community invited the Indonesian Consul to open it, is this the mosque that is referred to here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.210.100.54 (talk) 08:01, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- There is mention of a Shepparton Albanian mosque in the Albanian Australian article with a sentence sourced to Jupp, James (2001). The Australian People: An Encyclopedia of the Nation, Its People and Their Origins. the edinburgh building cambridge: Cambridge University Press. p. 166. ISBN 0 521 80789 1. Retrieved 12 March 2014.
- I was going to say that the Shepparton mosque labelled in this article as "Turkish" must be the Albanian one, because how many mosques can there be? But Google searching on "Shepparton Turkish mosque" brings up sources and pictures, with the pictures showing a different building than what "Shepparton Albanian mosque" brings up. I assume they are in the same Shepparton, right?
- Please be bold and edit this article to reflect both mosques! And, I wonder if either/both of them is notable enough for a separate article. Go ahead, start an article if you have information (enough information from reliable sources that would meet Wikipedia notability standards) on one of them! --doncram 07:05, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
