New oldest
editI find it funny how after 99-year-old wrestler Angelo Savoldi died, everyone immediately slapped the title of "oldest wrestler" onto Mae Young just because she was the oldest well-known wrester.
That can be changed. After about a minute of research, I found a wrestler who's older than Mae Young and still living. His name is Dick Medrano, and he was born on November 10, 1921. He's not even listed in this article.
I should point out that I'm not saying Dick Medrano is the oldest, just that Mae Young is not.
There should be a disclaimer somewhere on this article stating that this may not be 100% accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.143.240 (talk) 01:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
I found out that Ramjit Raghav was a British Raj-Indian who lived to 103 or 104 years old. Died on February 11, 2020. He is also the world's oldest father. Any proof that he was a professional wrestler?Kingzwest (talk) 20:01, 13 June 2021 (UTC)Kingzwest (talk
tom cannon lived from 1852 until 1968 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Cannon_(wrestler)
Citation is needed for Tom Cannon. He is not listed on this list: [[1]]. Kingzwest (talk) 20:51, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Kingzwest (talk
Mae Young
editDidn't realize the reports on her passing were inaccurate, tried to undo edits but it wouldn't let me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bbonds775 (talk • contribs) 16:45, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Gypsy Joe Active?
editOn this page Gypsy Joe is listed as active but on his Wiki page he is listed as retired & having a benefit held for him for his amputated foot.
Should he no longer be noted as active unless proven otherwise.
2 Wiki pages are contradicting each other.
This is the very beginning of his Wiki Page
Gilberto Melendez (born December 2, 1933) is a Puerto Rican retired professional wrestler
Thanks!

- Tajiri seems to have last beat him at a SMASH show in December 2010. The Wikipedia article notes a Gypsy Joe Retirement Show for SWF, but it's sourced to a blog post that doesn't exist. Either way, he's done. I'd fix it, but I hate tables. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:47, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Mae Young
editAccording to this article, Mae Young had her last match in 2008. Her last match was actually in 2010, when she "wrestled" Michelle McCool and Layla in a handicap match. Could the article be changed to reflect that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.16.10.4 (talk) 15:43, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Top 25
editI rounded the categories off to 25 due to evening them out as one was 25 the others being like 35 40.
I changed it back to the original format.
Oldest pro wrestler ever
editI think I found the oldest wrestler to fight ever was Saleh Ghaleb of Yemen. Who wrestled in 2013 at 83 years old in the United Kingdom. Question: Is he considered the oldest wrestler in professional wrestling history or is this martial arts which is another article or greco-roman wresltingÉ I can`t find a lot of information about him and his matches. Here`s the link https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/black-country-wrestler-saleh-ghaleb-1766818 if you can find something on this that will be great!
Oldest wrestlers to ever perform 70 years of age and over
editI have decided to make the oldest wrestled to ever perform age 70 and over as it is a rare thing. No limits on top 10, 20 or 30
According to people on twitter, Fritz von Goering is still alive. Twitter is an atrocious source but no obituary exists, so they're probably right in this case. He'd be included in the "Oldest wrestlers currently living" if we could verify his birth date. Does anybody have any relevant information here?LM2000 (talk) 06:30, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
Found some sites that has his date of birth but it sis still uncleared. It is unclear when Fritz Von Goering was born. Some sources say 1928 or 1929. I found this CNN article from 2010, that said that he is 82 years old meaning he could be born in 1927 or 1928. If he still alive today he will be 92 years old.Kingzwest (talk) 14:57, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Kingzwest (talk
Looking at Ali Ahmet Capraz's profile and said that he is still alive making him 109 years old. He was known as Ali Bey who was from Turkey and some others say Romania. I think he is dead by now. Does anyone have information on his when he died? I wonder if he's the oldest wrestler that ever lived? He might have lived longer than Harry Elliott.
Holding off for COVID-19
editI have decided to make all the wrestlers on oldest wrestlers to ever wrestle list inactive due to COVID-19. (Got rid of the bold green) A lot of them have not wrestled since last winter. I know Chick Donovan recently wrestled on July 11 and won a title. I decided to make him inactive as he only wrestles once or twice a year. A lot of countries don't want crowds over a certain capacity because of the virus. That's why we have not seen much active wrestlers on here. I heard a rumor that Ric Flair could win the WWE 24/7 title soon at 71. Some of the wrestlers probably won't wrestle ever again. In the meantime I have updated the oldest active wrestlers list. In Septmber or OCotber Imight update it again or after 3 months when the virus is over. Just to see who will be wrestling again. Kingzwest (talk) 21:29, 24 July 2020 (UTC) (talk)
Derogatory having Midget wrestlers on this list?
editI added the oldest midget wrestlers on this last a few months back. I thought it would be interesting. In wrestling we hardly ever see midget wrestlers anymore. It is consider to derogatory to call someone a midget. The term is Little People or Dwarfism. The oldest was Lord Littlebrook at 66. The fifth one was Little Tokyo at 56. I think I might shorten the list because 56 is still young for this list. Kingzwest (talk) 16:55, 20 August 2020 (UTC) (talk)
Should sumo wrestlers be added?
editHey I was wondering if sumo wrestlers should be added?
I am aware of a few who lived into their 90s and would be old enough to be on the lists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.174.241.136 (talk) 06:31, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
Adding Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco
editShould Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco be added to this list? Patterson, 78 and Brisco, 72 won the WWE 24/7 title two years ago on Old School Raw where they both physically pinned by winning and losing the titles. The WWE 24/7 is a dumb title but Patterson rolled up Drake Maverick physically for the three count. Moments later during the commercial break Brisco won the title form Patterson. Claming that it was a pinfall and a minute later Brisco was kneed in the sack and pinned by Kelly Kelly. It is counted that Patterson is the oldest person to win a WWE title and Wrestling title.
User:HHH Pedrigree claims that this does not count because it was not a pro wrestling match. Well people can argue that Mae Young pinning LayCool with her foot and the Divas pushing LayCool down on the ramp. That's not a match. Anyone feel like that it should be counted for? - As it was discussed on another talk page (I'm looking for the discussion), these aren't wrestling matches, but backstage segments. Every source about the event don't list the changes as matches ([2] [3] [4] [5] [6]), not even WWE.com [7]. The Mae Young was a match (even with the two on one no DQ stipulation to help Young to get an easy win) [8] [9] --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 08:36, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Peter Thornley (UK/Stampede version of Kendo Nagasaki)
