Is it necessary to list parks on this page that do not have corresponding entries on Wikipedia? The NYC Department of Parks and Recreation maintains a complete list of all parks, for whcih a link is provided in the article.

Ideally, yes, we should have every park on this list. But only some of the parks (those that are most notable) will merit their own articles—the minor ones should be listed, but unlinked.--Pharos 23:44, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Greenspaces

I would like to hear your opinions. I think we should include here a section on the greenspaces that are maintained or authorized by NYC Parks. These play a very important role for the many citizens who live far from the major parks.

Recently the Belden Point Greenspace on City Island was just opened.[1] It provides beautiful access to LI Sound. It took ten years of work and cooperation of many agencies to make it happen. Such stories should be a part of this article.
