"Notable"?

Look, I'm sure some people think that some people here are notable because they're in charge of a small business, or are an academic, but I think a lot of people would agree notability is a lot stronger than that. receiving a national award for your field, for instance as an academic. What's a good guide? Well, having a personal wikipedia entry would be a good start, because they should satisfy Wikipedia:Notability. i know that I, for instance, don't have a wikipedia page and therefore I'm pretty sure that I'm not suitably notable to go onto my own notable alumni page.
