André Leon Talley
editNeed to add André Leon Talley (born 1949), a fashion journalist, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Leon_Talley) to "North Carolina residents born elsewhere" or "Lived or studied in North Carolina, born and lived elsewhere."
He talks extensively about growing up in Durham, NC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durham,_North_Carolina), his grandmother's work at Duke University (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_university) and his time at NCCU (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina_Central_University) in his recently released and highly promoted documentary, "The Gospel According to Andre."
