Gary Locke
editWhy Gary Locke, and no other governors? Locke doesn't have any connection with Olympia beyond politics that I know of.
Request for sanity check
editPlease sanity check this edit. It was performed by an IP address at roughly the same time as a vandalism spree, but I don't know enough about this topic to tell whether the diff I've highlighted is also vandalism. --Christopher Thomas 18:35, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

This list is a mess
editThe current list is full of people with little or no connection to Olympia, e.g. Gary Locke (as mentioned above), or Courtney Love (who is apparently included because her husband briefly lived in Oly). I'm planning to prune the list. I'll probably leave people who only briefly lived in Olympia, but whose link to the town, or time there, is arguably notable e.g. certain riot grrls and Ms. Love's husband. Most of these names are not known to me, and I may remove people whose own articles don't tie them to Olympia in some way. Fort Lewis is not Olympia, so if the link appears to only be that someone was stationed there, I'll likely remove. I'm a bit on the fence for people who attended TESC but are not otherwise associated. Happy to discuss. CAVincent (talk) 03:38, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, I pruned some names. I left people who apparently attended high school in Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater and later left (mainly athletes), but removed some (maybe not all) who lived in Olympia pre-high school then moved away as children. I left in TESC grads who may not really belong (mostly now labeled as such). CAVincent (talk) 07:24, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
