Mel Brooks Double EGOT

edit

With Mel Brooks receiving an honorary Academy Award in January 2024, It should be noted in this article that Mel Brooks is both the second double EGOT winner, and the first to reach both competitive and non-competitive EGOT status at the same time. VCJunkie (talk) 06:22, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Competitive" award?

edit

The article neither explains the distinction between a competitive and a non-competitive award, nor does it as far as I could see refer to any other source that explains it. I have no idea what it means myself, and I also can't find it with googling at the moment. Shouldn't the article describe this? Ifrit (Talk) 02:53, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Woody Allen EGOT

edit

Per his Wikipedia article, he is an EGOT. “He has won four Academy Awards, ten BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and a Grammy Award, as well as nominations for a Emmy Award and a Tony Award.[14]”

The article currently does not credit him as an EGOT. Emmy and Tony nominations leave him only halfway to (winning) EGOT status. Allen is credited in the article as one who has received at least one nomination for each of four but not having won one of each. Wclaytong (talk) 12:27, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

BEGOOTS WINNERS

edit

Has anyone ever won the BAFTA, EMMY, GRAMMY, OSCAR, OLIVIER, TONY and SAG to form the BEGOOTS category? 2601:484:C000:A94:7111:1B5F:51F5:A70E (talk) 17:26, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
