Would it be beneficial to put Donald Trump's entry with the rest of the U.S. Presidents in the list? (Forgive any posting errors. Never done an Edit Request before) TonyRush
UPDATE: Disregard this request. I see now how the list is organized. Sorry! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TonyRush (talk • contribs) 21:08, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Hey there. I noticed that Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush are missing from the list. They seem to belong on this list as far as I can tell, since they both were defeated in their reelection bid. Squirechristopher1934 (talk) 22:27, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Please change “term of office” for 45th president Donald Trump FROM “2016-2020” TO “2017-2021”.

THIS page is protected? That's crap, y'all. WTF. Insert wikipedia policy _here_. Just came to fix the dates for Donald Trump. He is President 2017-2021, not 2016-2020 as shown now — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.116.81.225 (talk) 00:43, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Trump "convinced that his opponents committed voter fraud"
editThe article currently states "Trump refused to concede defeat as he was convinced that his opponents committed voter fraud, and argued that he was the true winner of the election."
I think this should be rephrased as we don't know whether Trump actually believes that his opponents committed voter fraud. It is certainly possible that he genuinely believes this, but equally he may simply be pretending to believe it for perceived political advantage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.108.60.37 (talk) 07:39, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Good point. I'll reword it. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 16:19, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
On the article title, and semantic quibbles.
editGerald Ford should be on this list. He was added to the list, then removed on the grounds that it was an election, not a re-election. That's a silly reason. In the last few days Trump was removed in the expectation that he will return in the coming election. Again, a silly reason. Ford and Trump both lost bids to stay in power and should be on the list. Maybe we should change the article title. Then we can add Ford, and keep Trump, even if he wins. Does "List of sitting Presidents who lost elections to stay in power" sound good? Maybe you can suggest a punchier one. I. R. Finch (talk) 22:49, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
