medications missing from our list...

edit

Invega is missing, and comes in 3, 6, and 9 mg time-released tablets. Tullywinters (talk) 15:39, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion to change this article's title

edit

Given this article's contents, which is restricted to only "medications which are used to treat psychiatric conditions", as stated in the introduction, I strongly suggest that it's title be changed to "List of psychiatric medications", which would be more accurate. The word "psychotropic" is too general and somehow misleading in this title. An actual List of psychotropic medications would be expected to include many medications that are psychotropic, including the relatively small subset which are used in psychiatry. Currently, a search for "psychotropic" redirects to Psychoactive drug, with no hint of this article. 73.119.19.79 (talk) 03:59, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Moving this to talk page

edit

This was on the main page but is a comment on the article so I am moving it here. I also agree with it. (this list is incomplete; the title of the entry is "List of Psychotropic Medications" and what follows is a list of psychiatric drugs – not all psychotropic agents are used to treat psychiatric conditions.)

Generic/Brand names

edit

Some bullet items are listed as Brand (generic) and some are listed as Generic (brand). I think they should all be listed as Generic (brand). If there are no objections I will make this change. Kimen8 (talk) 19:04, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

This would make more sense if the article stayed restricted to US-centric because there would only be one brand name to choose from, but even in that case, the generic should come first in my opinion. Kimen8 (talk) 19:09, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

US-Centric?

edit

Why is this page This is a list of psychotropic medications that are on the market in the United States (emphasis mine)? I think we just remove that "in the United States" and just let the list be more complete. I see no value in having it stay US-Centric, and given the title is not "List of psychotropic medications in the US market", there is no reason for this. Kimen8 (talk) 19:08, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
